Who is Eligible?
Any Elkhart High School graduating senior is eligible to participate in the Elkhart High School Dollars for Scholars® program. Awards are for full-time students at an accredited two- or four-year college/university or a program of vocational training. Award criteria are based on a combination of academic record, activities, work experience, recommendations, essays, and the demonstrated ability to compete and succeed in their chosen post-high school education.

What are the scholarship requirements?
Each scholarship will have a description of its specific requirements and award criteria. Applicants may apply for any award that they are eligible for and meet the criteria.

How to Apply
Students must complete their profile online by the appropriate deadline and meet all subsequent deadlines.  Applications for EHS Dollars for Scholars scholarships are typically open February 1 through February 28 (29 in a leap year) of a student's senior year.  Go to the Students and Parents page to begin your application profile.

How are award recipients selected?
Elkhart High School Dollars for Scholars offers two kinds of awards. The first are named awards given by a local business, organization or individual. Those awards generally have their own recipient guidelines. The second group of awards are scholarships that Elkhart High School Dollars for Scholars funds directly.

In both cases, the Awards Committee, made up of Elkhart High School Dollars for Scholars chapter members, reviews anonymous information about each applicant and scores applications according to a standard set of guidelines. Awards recipients are then selected and invited to an awards ceremony in the spring before graduation.
